I am surprisingly awake for only getting 3 hourz of sleep last night, or this morning I should say. I stayed up way to late working on the firewall. I ran into a few problems with ARP, and ended up having to setup proxy ARP. I should hopefully have everything working tonight. Sorry for any latency you may have been/Will be experiencing on the web server.

So once again, my drive in only took 35 minutez! 🙂 It makez the start of your day so much nicer when youre not sitting in bumper to bumper traffic for over an hour. I’m tired as hell though, I get so little sleep during the week. I tossed and turned for like an hour last night before finally getting to sleep somewhere aroung 3:00, then got up at 7:00. I need to figure out a job that I can do from home.
So I took the beltway around today for the first time in ages. It only took me about 35 minutez! I guess I’m goin that way from now on. The only drawback is if there is any accident on the beltway, it becomes a parking lot faster than any other freeway I know of.

For once this week it didn’t take me forever to get here (only 45 minutes). So far it’s looking to be a good Friday. No emailz or voicemailz for me to do stupid shit, and one of my co-workerz even brought in a box of munchkins from dunkin donutz.
I really fucking hate my commute. It just took me an hour and 20 minutes to get here. This is exactly why I did not want to work these hours. I could have left 30 minutes later, and got here at the same time. I need to go break my foot off in someone’z ass now.
I hate coming to work during “normal” business hours. When I took this job, being 35 miles away through DC, I took it knowing that my “schedule” was 11-7. Therefore NO TRAFFIC! Now my new manager decides that I neeed to be here from 8:30 – 5:30. There is absolutely no reason for this, but whatever. Just another reason for me to not wanna stay here. For someone whom they say is one of their best people, they sure don’t treat me like it lately. Yet, when I say that I want to transfer out of the dept. or leave the company all together, they kiss my ass and tell me not to go. grrrr
Okay I’m done bitching (for now that is).

Back to work today. I did not miss my office. Of course someone stole my laptop IP while I was gone, so the first thing I got to do was play the ping for open IP game. Then I find out that one of my production servers went down on Saturday, and our NOC didnt bother to escalate it. Luckily its only the secondary server, but if that primary went down, they woulda been fux0red. Oh well, their problem I guess. Time to go get some chili.

I am both physically and mentally drained. I have been completely exhausted so far this week. I am really enjoying my class, but my brain iz fried. I get to a certain point where I can’t take in anymore information, I never was good at school.
We went to Sting (big candy raver event) tonight. It was all right, not really my scene though. I feel like I am an old man when I go to any of these thingz anymore. I dig the music, but not enough to deal with the huge crowd of underage people. It was free though (aside from the $15 parking), so it was worth it. Thanks to Jason & his girlfriend Jessica. Off to bed I go.
I am so ready to go home. It will be so nice to not hafta come into the office for a week and a half. Too bad its not vacation though. Plus I hafta decide which loan offer to accept.
